The Best of Cyprus, The Island of Love

It’s been a year since we’ve dipped our toes into our roots. Cyprus, the birthplace of the Greek Goddess Aphrodite and Papa K, of course. With its Lemon trees, olive groves, pine- forested mountains and some of Europe’s most beautiful beaches. For us it feels like home, we step off the plane with the smell of warm dusty air, familiar from our childhood, where we spent our summer holidays with our Yiayia every year. Yiayia Nitsa is 87 years old and doesn’t miss a thing. She can’t speak a word of English but her house is the most welcoming loving home you’ll ever step foot in. There will always be a fresh baked pastitcio in the oven and bourekia on the table with a hot Greek coffee brewing in the briki. If you haven’t been to this corner of the earth yet you’ll be charmed with culture, beauty, history and Cypriot warmth. So here are our Top Four Things to do, see, sleep and eat. As Cypriots say Kopiaste!
